Build a Net Worth of Great Friendships

I had dinner with a very successful entrepreneur.  He told me that his goal throughout life has been to build a net worth of wonderful friendships, not to make money (although he’s made a lot of money).

Dwight Eisenhower was supreme Allied commander in Europe during WWII.  He said, “Allied command depends on mutual confidence; this confidence is gained above all, through the development of friendships.”

He went on to win the war and become a very successful US president.

Do you want to win?  Start intentionally building friendships.  Do you want to successfully lead your team of five?  Start building bridges to them.  Eisenhower reached the White House with the slogan “I like Ike.”  They liked him because he first showed that he liked them.

You can do it too.
